Faced with a leadership transition and waning constituent engagement, my small team created a series of five short video vignettes featuring exceptional University of Rochester students, faculty, and alumni—to remind our audiences how brilliant our people are, and how they’re making their mark on the world. Moving stories are told in their own words, with emotion and authenticity at every turn. This simple but powerful campaign returned the biggest social media engagements ever seen on our advancement and alumni channels at the time. Following their unexpected success, these short stories were later adopted as cold-open pieces at live events for alumni and donors across the country.
